WA OPERA’S SIMULCAST OF CITY OF PERTH’S OPERA IN THE PARK 2018
La Bohème by Giacomo Puccini
Saturday 3 February 8pm
For over two decades, the City of Perth has presented Opera in the Park as an annual gift to the residents and visitors of Perth, supported by Lotterywest and Healthway with the message Act-Belong-Commit. The live simulcast allows WA Opera to connect with regional communities, with the support of Lotterywest and the Community Resource Network.
La Bohème is the story of a group of friends and idealists, living freely as they pursue their dreams. At the heart of the story are Rodolfo and Mimi, who fall in love at first sight but their hopeful outlook on life is shattered as they face poverty, illness and loss.
This is an evening of beautiful melody and spine-tingling performances, touching on the heartbreaking moments in our lives which unite us all as humans.
Sung in Italian with English subtitles.
