Exhibitions are curated and hung by our volunteer Gallery Exhibition Team and artist labels, statements and sales are produced and managed by Arts Margaret River staff.
Over the years countless artists of all ages were given the opportunity to exhibit their works for a month at the Margaret River Cultural Centre, with full mentoring and support provided.
As Arts Margaret River no longer have regular ongoing access to a gallery space, therefore we have improvised to create fantastic exhibitions in a variety of locations. Exhibitions such as the Apron Project, Community Quilt Project and Take a Seat Exhibition are recent examples of our ongoing commitment to creating exhibitions and events that community members can partake in, regardless of artistic ability or experience.
We pride ourselves in thinking up new and exciting exhibition opportunities that is open to a broad range of artisans and crafts people who may never have considered exhibiting their work before. Our events are accessible to everyone and attracts a large number of visitors who do not usually visit art galleries or exhibitions.
The annual Visual Stories art exhibition and competition forms an exciting part of the Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival with works displayed before and throughout the event.
Sunday Sundowner Sessions
The Sundowners are an annual series of free family concerts that are well-loved and well attended at Pioneer Park, Cowaramup. The Sundowners enable Arts Margaret River to give back to our community, and for the community to be exposed to differing music styles.
