Displaying key pages from the book and individual illustrations for an immersive comic experience. Rachel’s drawing desk will also be on display featuring working drawings, props, reference books in an insight into her creative process.

Furawāāto (Flower Art)

Inspired by the Japanese ancient art form ‘Oshibana’ where pressed flowers and other botanical materials are used to create an entire picture to make beautiful art, comes this new abstract floral series ‘Furawaato’ by artist Natalie Briney.

Inspiration for my artwork comes from Margaret River's seascapes, forest, native birds, wild flowers and people. I have my own unique style of painting and have experience using a wide range of mediums. I prefer using a limited palette with bold contrast. Most of my paintings in this exhibition are acrylic on canvas, but I have included watercolour, prismacolour and oil pastels.
