CinefestOz – Slam

Join actress, Abbey Aziz and producer, Michael Wrenn along with other filmmakers as the drama Slam makes its Western Australian premiere at Margaret River HEART.

Enjoy refreshments, pre-screening canapés and live music in the adjacent Augusta Margaret River Shire Foyer before watching this story of a Muslim activist and slam poet who goes missing in Sydney.

SYNOPSIS:
Ricky Naser is an Australian of Middle/Eastern descent whose peaceful suburban life turns to hell when his sister Ameena disappears without a trace. In a climate of distrust and xenophobia, Ricky is forced to denounce her as an extremist.
