Capecare Acquisition project

Call out to Cape-to-Cape visual artists

With Capecare Dunsborough nearing completion and the focus moving to interior finishes, Margaret River Region visual artists are invited to add their creative flair to the new fully integrated aged care facility. Capecare will acquire a number of works from local artists to be displayed throughout the residential care building’s internal spaces for residents, their families, visitors, staff and the local community to enjoy. A self-guided art tour will be created through Capecare Dunsborough via a booklet with information on the artists, their stories, and images of the works. Capecare has engaged Arts Margaret River to coordinate the acquisition project and we will assist in the selection, installation and documentation of the artworks. An assessment panel will select the works from artist expressions of interest.

Themes of Collection In collecting in the various areas, emphasis will be placed on the following themes where relevant —

(1) Personal identity as expressed through self-portraits and portraiture
(2) Still life
(3) The domestic environment
