Young@HEART – ‘Something to Share’ with Hellie Turner & Friends

Monday, March 30 @ 10:00 AM 11:00 AM

Hellie turner y@h 12x9 1 1

‘Something to Share’

This year there are 8 enthusiastic participants in the U3A writing workshop ‘Something to Share’… all of whom have spent 6 weeks discussing, crafting, writing and perfecting a tale from their lives.

As for 2025, the stories are wonderfully varied, and each one is an entrancing little gem. The writers, in no particular order, are Heather Locke, Linda McKellar, Gillian Hayter, Ian Baxter, Lyn Serventy, Dawn Ambrose, Nada Ilian and Jo Jennings.

For the Young@ Heart audience on March 30 each of these writers will present their own story… a very personal gift of sharing.

About Young@HEART

The Young@HEART music program is held at Margaret River HEART every Monday morning from 10am to 11am. The program does not run on public holidays or when there is another major event in the foyer.

The initiative was developed to safely encourage participation in the arts among older residents (over 60s) during the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to high interest, the free performances have since been opened to people of all ages. Nonetheless, the senior demographic still makes up the majority of the audience.
