Young @ HEART – Tony Keller

Tony Keller, a Margaret River resident for many years is to give a piano recital as part of Arts Margaret River’s Young @ HEART program.
Tony began playing the piano at the age of seven and has played intermittently throughout a long life, intensifying his musical development in the last few years since his retirement as a specialist Haematologist.
He is particularly fond of the romantic repertoire and will play works by Chopin (including the Fantasie Impromptu, the Polonaise in A flat major and the Ballard no 1 in G Minor) as well as short works by Liszt and Tchaikovsky.
About Young@HEART
The Young@HEART music program is held at Margaret River HEART every Monday morning from 10am to 11am. The program does not run on public holidays or when there is another major event in the foyer.
The initiative was developed to safely encourage participation in the arts among older residents (over 60s) during the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Due to high interest, the free performances have since been opened to people of all ages. Nonetheless, the senior demographic still makes up the majority of the audience.
Young@Heart is broadcast live on Radio Margaret River.
