Leanne Glover

Leanne will be playing a wide selection of music ranging from Bach to some present day cinema music. They are all pieces she loves and hopefully something for everyone’s taste. Many pieces may not be familiar but she think’s they are all wonderful and she hopes the audience will enjoy the sound of a beautiful resonating harp.

Michael O’Connor accompanied by Ross Goulden

Michael was brought up in Perth with his three sisters and in his school days was a chorister/soloist with Saint Mary’s Cathedral Choir. On turning 50 he renewed his interest in singing as a member of well known Perth group “Tuxedo Junction”. He moved to Margaret River in 2007 and joined his sister as a member of our own “River Song”, and has also performed at many concerts, weddings and other functions as well as here in the “Heart”. His repertoire ranges from popular ballads, Irish traditional to light classical. Today his theme is around the many aspects of “LOVE”.

About Young@HEART

The Young@HEART music program is held at Margaret River HEART every Monday morning from 10am to 11am. The program does not run on public holidays or when there is another major event in the foyer.

The initiative was developed to safely encourage participation in the arts among older residents (over 60s) during the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to high interest, the free performances have since been opened to people of all ages. Nonetheless, the senior demographic still makes up the majority of the audience.

Young@Heart is broadcast live on Radio Margaret River.
