Young @ HEART – Dan White

An avid ambassador for WA music, Dan has over 15 years of professional experience in the music and entertainment industry after growing up with a guitar in hand and performing regularly since 11 years of age.
With a solid background in songwriting, live performance, studio recording and production, live sound, tour management and marketing, Dan has toured and recorded extensively, with 1500+ shows and 8 records to his name, having supported acts such as Xavier Rudd, The Cat Empire, San Cisco and many more in his time. Dan currently performs with Margaret River-based acts Brightsider and Moon & Honey, and you can catch him performing solo around the South West Region.
Applying his managerial and organisational talents outside of his musical projects has seen Dan direct The West Australian Guitar Festival and share his experience as part of panels and presentations for industry bodies such as APRA/AMCOS, WAM, Operation Next Gen and more.
Beyond music, Dan enjoys graphic & web design, is a hobby photographer after starting out on rolls of film whilst touring, and loves sports – surfing in particular, which is one of the things that drew him to Margaret River in 2014.
A music lover at heart and always up for a laugh, Dan also hosts Local Produce on Radio Margaret River every Thursday 4-5pm.
About Young@HEART
The Young@HEART music program is held at Margaret River HEART every Monday morning from 10am to 11am. The program does not run on public holidays or when there is another major event in the foyer.
The initiative was developed to safely encourage participation in the arts among older residents (over 60s) during the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Due to high interest, the free performances have since been opened to people of all ages. Nonetheless, the senior demographic still makes up the majority of the audience.
Young@Heart is broadcast live on Radio Margaret River.
