Combine one extremely well written script, carefully dissected and prepared by one experienced director, with three highly talented local actors. Place them in a hot, spicy and tempestuous love triangle, add a dash of sound and danger, a pinch of lighting and colour, an abundant splash of jet-black humour, and a large dollop of acerbic wit and what do you get ? A toe curling, and yet delicious concoction worthy of a local theatre company with an excellent reputation for first class, entertaining productions.
Debbie Isitt’s, “THE WOMAN WHO COOKED HER HUSBAND”, is the entrancing, mouth-watering and very funny dish being plated and served up by the Margaret River Theatre Group at Margaret River’s HEART Studio Theatre for a strictly limited season from 25th October 2019.
Directed by Peter Kirkwood this darkly funny, adult black comedy is a thought provoking and yet highly entertaining exploration of food, cooking, love, jealousy, humiliation, treachery, deceit, betrayal, violence and revenge.
