Sunday Sundowner in Augusta

Sunday, 3 March, 2024 @ 4:30 PM 7:00 PM

  • 1200 3
  • Brandie wise 1 copy
  • Sib. 1 copy

The Arts Margaret River Sundowners are an annual series of free family concerts that are well loved and well attended.

The Sundowners support local musicians and enable Arts Margaret River to give back to our community, and for the community to be exposed to differing music styles. Importantly, it enables low income families within the district the opportunity to attend a concert as a family group. Friends and family, some comprising four generations, gather with their picnic on the lawn and delight in the location, ambience and music.

Bring a picnic!

Brandie & Wise

Scott Wise is no stranger to the region, having played on numerous occasions with The Riverbugs, and the Ten Cent Shooters. An accomplished luthier and bluesman, Scott teams up with his partner, husky mezzo vocalist, Brandie Kate, for a light-hearted journey through traditional blues, light jazz and an eclectic mix of pop classics. Expect songs about love, mother-in-laws and some unusual life advice!

Si & B

Sian and Bruno present a musical fusion of original and cover songs. Singing in English and French, from jazz-pop, bossa-nova and reggae music, this dynamic and sensual duo brings you on a journey that will make your heart vibrate. Si&B are both multi-instrumentalists, playing ukulele, flute, guitars, u-bass and percussion; the musicality is diverse and the grooves, hypnotic. Sian is a WAAPA trained flautist, vocalist, come ukulele player, and is back from a decade in the USA playing in a soul/funk band. Bruno has been playing his French gypsy-grooves in WA with his band SOL-R until 2017. Cultural diversity, environmental issues and social justice inspire his music, his lyrics spread messages for a better humanity, in harmony with nature.

“I think I enjoy these concerts even more than going to the big Leeuwin Concerts. The Sundowners really are for the community to enjoy.”

A local resident.
