Songbirds of the SW – Augusta performance

$22The Songbirds’ combine the beauty of harmony from 6 vocalists with the tight rhythm and HOT horn section of the 8 piece band, to pay tribute to some of the jazz greats.
The band features professional musicians from the South West and includes the fabulous harmony vocals of Michelle Spriggs, Andrea Frances, Janine Andrews, Scott Wise, Tilly Kelleher and Louise Marsh. With solid backing from Kevin McDonald (guitar), Viv Booker (double bass), Gary Larkin (drums), Sean Lillico (keyboards), Kevin Jones (trombone/flute), David Rastrick (trumpet), Mike Wiese (baritone sax & clarinet) and Louise Marsh (tenor sax).
The Songbirds perform works from Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Astrid Gilberto, Peggy Lee, Nina Simone and Amy Winehouse. They have showcased at a number of events including the Arts Margaret River Sundowner and Concert, Jazz by the Bay Festivals and the Ellington Jazz Club.
Performed in the Augusta Centennial Hall with cabaret table seating. Doors open at 2.30pm and the concert commences at 3pm, BYO afternoon tea.
