Barracking for the Umpire
By Andrea Gibbs
Saturday, June 15 @ 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM
Arts Margaret River presents a Black Swan State Theatre Company production
What are we willing to sacrifice for the great game?
Following a standout Perth season in 2022, Barracking for the Umpire is set to embark on a regional tour in Western Australia for 2024, and Margaret River is fortunate to be included on the tour.
This family drama tackles head-on the fragility of the human body and the impacts of the great game on our players, our family, and our community.
Donnybrook Football Club is set to honour its greatest son – Doug Williams.
Hard as flint. Salt of the earth.
Wife, Delveen, by his side, riding every bump with him. Feeling every head knock.
All the kids are flying home to join the celebration.
But after years of the game he loves, the sure hands of Williams are starting to fumble the ball.
