Artists in Conversation – South West Art Now
Presented by Bunbury Regional Art Gallery and Arts Margaret River
Wednesday, June 12 @ 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
The Bunbury Regional Art Gallery is presenting the South West Art Now A New Constellation exhibition from March 16-July 21.
The latest iteration of the longest running review of contemporary art practices in the South West of Australia includes a significant number of Margaret River-based artists.
As a region which continues to produce some of the most significant artists in the state, the biennial survey offers a vital exhibition to reflect on dynamic cultural developments in the region over the past two years. This year’s survey aims to focus more closely on broader creative practices rather than singular artworks, with the intention of demonstrating how the South West’s regionally specific concerns are in dialogue with broader global discourses.
Artists in Conversation
A special event will be held at Nala Bardip Mia – the Margaret River HEART. A panel of artists from the exhibition will engage in a conversation about their practices and larger issues in the visual arts. A catered networking event will also follow. All are welcome.
