‘No One Was Watching’ provides an alternative, imaginative entree into the once-hidden world of ‘Forgotten Australians’, a cohort of non- Indigenous men and women who were institutionalised as children. As one anonymous care-leaver begged ‘ Let our histories be visible’. The author hopes her book does just that and that these stories remind us of both our individual and collective roles in protecting children and promoting their welfare and safety into the future.

Dr Annie Horner (PhD), Alumni of the Edith Cowan University South West campus, launched ‘No One Was Watching’ in May 2019. She will be speaking at the Margaret River Library about her book and presenting her valuable research behind writing her novel.

Thursday 12th March, 6 – 7.30pm. Light refreshments provided. RSVP to amrlibrary@amrshire.wa.gov.au or Ph: 9780 5600
