Sundowner Series: The Big Dry Part 2

Nature Conservation Margaret River Region

Tuesday, 1 October, 2024 @ 6:00 PM 8:00 PM

Forest collapse image

Join Nature Conservation Margaret River Region to dig deeper into an issue on all our minds – forest and vegetation dieoff.

Having just gone through the “driest seven-month spell on record” we will hear from Dr Joe Fontaine(Disturbance Ecologist, Murdoch University) and other speakers still being confirmed on the impact on our native vegetation.

We hope you can join us for presentations from experts in their field speaking on the importance of our forests and remnant vegetation and the implications, management and response required in light of the widespread vegetation dieoff experienced during the Summer and Autumn of 2024.

Documentary Filmmaker Jane Hammond (Black Cockatoo Crisis) will join us for the audience Q and A.
More information to be confirmed as additional speakers and traveling panelists are confirmed.

Enjoy light supper, a drink, audience Q and A and become part of the conversation.

This Sundowner event is made possible via funding from the Shire of Augusta Margaret River.
