Opening event: Friday, March 31, 5-7pm

Margaret River Printmaker, Francesco Geronazzo teams up with three other West Australian printmakers: P. James Bryans, Shana James and Dallas Perry, for an exciting new exhibition at Margaret River Heart. Printmaking is an ancient artform steeped in centuries of tradition. These artists are all highly skilled makers, with passion and expertise in their chosen mediums, their interpretations are diverse. This is a dynamic exhibition with broad appeal – there is bound to be something for everyone here. The exhibition spans many print mediums including: etchings, screen-prints, drypoints and monoprints.

Francesco Geronazzo makes artwork responding to the immersive nature of walking through the Margret River landscape. Shana James investigates the Walt Whitman poem – Song of Myself which is a reflection on the nature of the imaginative internal world and the external environment. P. James Bryans visualises nostalgic images to do with childhood memory. Dallas Perry creates monoprints which are like film stills examining landscapes and states of being. The exhibition is a survey of contemporary printmaking that provides four distinct views of the media, a simultaneous exploration of process and ideas.
