You are invited by Margaret River Amnesty International in partnership with the Uniting Church Margaret River and Tig-Le House to the screening of Mary Meets Mohammad. The film follows the arrival of Tasmania’s first asylum seeker detention centre through the eyes of local knitting club member Mary. This is the regular Sunday cinema movie slot.
Guest speaker, Town of Victoria Park Councillor Brian Oliver, will outline his involvement in the Town of Victoria Park becoming one of Australia’s 110 Welcome Refugee Zones followed by Q & A.
Make sure you are there at 4.30pm to be entertained by the wonderful Hoots Street Band. You will be delighted! Afternoon tea available.
