It Leads to Glass – Hayshed Hill Exhibition opening
Saturday, 14 March, 2015 @ 5:30 PM

Talented Busselton artist, Vaughan Ransley is not what you call flamboyant. In fact he’s pretty unassuming. When Vaughan lays down his designer’s computer pen at the end of a working day, he returns to his love of the brush, paint and canvas. On Saturday 14th March at 5.30pm, Vaughan will celebrate an exhibition of his work at the Hay Shed Hill Gallery.
Vaughan’s love of textures and ageless typefaces are fused in his own unique style which is sure to please. His deft portrayal of an 80’s Holga camera demonstrates his eye for detail, as he so accurately represents the leather like look of the plastic covering. His depiction of a sixties motor poster is filled with an air of nostalgia – a joyful trip through a time of textured objet d’art. His latter work exemplifies his interest in all things glass and his observant eye captures the shade of prisms and angular light. You can easily feel a need to reach out and touch.
This is a truly unique and beautifully presented exhibition. With more than 30 pieces of work available for viewing you’ll spend time picking through the detail and experiencing the feel and textures of the subject matter. Don’t miss this exciting work from Vaughan Ransley.
You are invited to view the collection at Hay Shed Hill Wines, 511 Harmans Mill Road Wilyabrup. The exhibition commences on 14th March 2015 and continues through to June 2015. If you would like to attend the launch please rsvp to info@hayshedhill.com.au or telephone 08 9755 6046.
