The night is 8 May 1945, V-E Night and peace is extending across Europe. Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret, eager to be part of the celebrations going on outside the walls of Buckingham Palace escape their royal lives for one perfect and glorious night to celebrate the official end of World War II.
