Thursday 27 April 5:30–8:30pm: Gather under the stars and support a special Soupie feast at the Margaret River Community Centre – each ticket sold will help fill the bowls of others in your community.
Margaret River Soup Kitchen began in 1995 as a gathering place to bring people from all walks of life together to share a meal. Volunteers prepare nourishing, low cost meals twice a week. More than 20,000 meals are served across the year.
‘Bowls for Soupie’ is our annual fundraiser which provides for the ongoing costs of food and equipment to maintain this essential service for the Margaret River community.
‘Bowls for Soupie’ is a fusion of art and cuisine, a chance to gather and feast in support of food security and community spirit.
Using local and recycled clay, Ian Dowling will lead a dozen professional potters to make around 200 stunning bowls to donate for sale at the event.
Renowned chef Tony Howell will collaborate with the Soupie kitchen volunteers to create a unique menu for the evening.
DJ Erik will set the scene with his musical flare.
