Leon is a master printmaker, painter and sculptor often regarded as one of Australia’s living legends. With innumerable works in national galleries and significant private collections, a hugely successful 50 Year Retrospective held in 2018, and more than 150 solo exhibitions during his long career reflect Leon’s commitment and dedication to his work.

Through his fictitious town of Widjimorphup, Leon celebrates and satirises suburban and rural Australia. His attention to detail, keen sense of humour and a good dose of the absurd combine with his remarkable drawing and painting mastery to produce works which engage, amaze and amuse.

The Kitsch Collection is a series of 12 masterful hand-painted etchings celebrating all things “kitsch”. 2021 new releases Big Things and Thongs joined Pericles’ 1999 classics Lava Lamps, Gnomes, Snow Domes, Trophies, Clotheslines, Flying Ducks, Spoons, Sharpeners, Whirligigs and Shakers.
