Born in Scotland, Euan grew up in Glasgow, then Plymouth in the south of England.
Starting his working life as a marine engineer, Euan moved into computing with IBM in the late 70s. His IT career spanned 40 years, initially in computer engineering, progressing into engineering management then IT management, and culminating in large-scale project / programme management. He worked across sectors including leading computer suppliers, major financial institutions and resources companies, in both the UK and Australia.
After his first trip to Australia in 2001 with his Australian partner, Erica, and the purchase of land in Margaret River, Euan emigrated to Western Australia in 2004. Together they owned and operated a local business in Margaret River for 6 years, and built the house to accommodate their “tree-change” dreams.
Euan has considerable experience in financial management, ranging from small business ownership to the multi million-dollar budgets of very large infrastructure solutions for major financial institutions and resources companies. Euan joined Arts Margaret River in 2021, recognising the value of the organisation to the community and wishing to make a contribution.
