NEWS UPDATE

It is with both sadness, and hope for a healthy and vibrant future for all, that we are cancelling or postponing all of our theatre shows and the Margaret River Readers and Writers Festival, effective immediately until the end of June 2020, when we will assess the situation. This decision comes as part of the WA Government measures to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus in our community by banning all non-essential indoor gatherings of more than 100 people. Our office at the Margaret River Community Centre will be closed from Tuesday 24th March until 1 June. The phone will be unattended during this time, but we will be monitoring and responding to emails. Do I get a refund? Arts Margaret River has completed refunds for all events including the Readers & Writers Festival and all theatre shows. All refunds were processed by Monday 23 March 2020. How can I help? COVID-19 is having an unprecedented impact upon the theatre and live performance industry, with enormous cultural and economic impacts that will last indefinitely. You may want to consider converting your ticket refund into a tax deductible donation and your support will be graciously received and a receipt issued. What next? We’re down – but not out. We will be working tirelessly behind the scenes on new and engaging events and hope to present them to healthy and enthusiastic audiences, in the second half of the year.
