Mat Jodrell is one of the world's greatest living trumpet players and WAYJO is very lucky to welcome Mat back to Perth to scream his trumpet over the infectious latin big band music of Tito Puente. In 2023, WAYJO celebrates the 100th anniversary of Puente's birth and the St John of God Health Care Tuesday Night Orchestra will recreate the mambolicious sounds of Puente's seminal big band recordings.
