Margaret River Soup Kitchen began in 1995 as a gathering place to bring people from all walks of life together to share a meal. Volunteers prepare nourishing, low cost meals twice a week. More than 20,000 meals are served across the year.

This collection tells the story of a pass the parcel process, a relay between victim, perpetrator, predator, and prey. The contagion of mistreatment where actions and words create symptoms that are hurting wounds of scarred self-worth, and tampered confidence.
Inspiration for my artwork comes from Margaret River's seascapes, forest, native birds, wild flowers and people. I have my own unique style of painting and have experience using a wide range of mediums. I prefer using a limited palette with bold contrast. Most of my paintings in this exhibition are acrylic on canvas, but I have included watercolour, prismacolour and oil pastels.
