This lecture shows how western artists from Van Gogh to Walter Crane were influenced by the works they saw from Japan and how they developed their own work as a response. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPrint\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email

SUMMARY:Young@HEART - Hannah Kerr with Anna Bogachova & Max Palmer
DESCRIPTION:Donations Welcome\n\n\n\nSign up to Young@HEART eNewsletter\n\n\n\nMusic\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHannah Kerr\n\n\n\nHannah Hale is a 17 year old soprano\, who enjoys singing a variety of music genres\, including jazz and contemporary\, but specialises in classical opera. Hannah looks forward to study music after school\, and one day travel the world performing. She hopes her music will touch the hearts of many people\, and is very excited to share her love of singing with the community.  The classical pieces she will be performing are from a variety of eras\, some which will keep you on your toes and others pulling on the emotional heart strings of the audience.  When Hannah sings she wants to be able to move people\, connect with the audience\, and allowing them to just stop\, be in the moment and enjoy the sounds.  Hannah has recently released her debut originals\, “It’s Love” and “Expectations” which are available on all streaming platforms.  Photo credit: Morrison Photography    \n\n\n\nAnna Bogachova\n\n\n\nAnna Bogachova graduated from Ukraine’s Kharkiv University of Art. Since then her music has seen her performing at various Lounge\, Concert and Piano Bar venues in the Middle East and Australia. Anna is currently teaching piano privately and performing with various musicians and groups across the South West. Anna will be accompanying Hannah on piano. \n\n\n\nMax Palmer\n\n\n\nMax is a 14-year-old pianist who has been homeschooled all his life. He has been playing the piano for around five years and is largely self-taught. Developing his skills mostly by ear rather than reading sheet music\, he enjoys learning well-known pieces and music from films. He is especially inspired by the soundtrack of Amélie\, composed by Yann Tiersen. He will also be performing a piece from the movie The Greatest Showman and a song by Tom Petty. Max loves playing the piano when no one is watching or listening so performing in front of a live audience for the first time is daunting\, but he is excited by the challenge. His sister Lili will be accompanying him on stage\, playing guitar and singing.  \n\n\n\nAbout Young@HEART\n\n\n\nThe Young@HEART music program is held at Margaret River HEART every Monday morning from 10am to 11am. The program does not run on public holidays or when there is another major event in the foyer. \n\n\n\nThe initiative was developed to safely encourage participation in the arts among older residents (over 60s) during the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.  \n\n\n\nDue to high interest\, the free performances have since been opened to people of all ages. Nonetheless\, the senior demographic still makes up the majority of the audience. \n\n\n\nVenue\n\n\n\nFoyer \n\n\n\nRun-Time\n\n\n\n60 minutes \n\n\n\nTicket Prices\n\n\n\nFree \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFree\, Foyer\, Fundraising Events\, Music\, Performing Arts\, Young@HEART\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPrint\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email
