DESCRIPTION:Donations Welcome\n\n\n\nSign up to Young@HEART eNewsletter\n\n\n\nMusic\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are a group of friends who have come together to sing for the joy of it. Our talented guitarists\, ukulele players\, flautist and bass player\, accompany us as we sing.  \n\n\n\nOur repertoire is varied. We sing Blue Grass\, Gospel\, Pop\, Sea Shanties and folk songs. We are especially keen on singing in harmony. We tend to follow a jazzy tradition\, singing our various parts by ear\, as we do not use musical scores. We have been singing together for several years and grown into a strong and cohesive group. We perform for community groups when asked and do not ask for payment.  \n\n\n\nThursday is the day we all look forward to when we come together to practice at the Baptist Hall. Singing is a great way to meet friends\, develop new skills and contribute to the community. SUMMARY:Exhibition Launch: Visual Stories Art Exhibition & Competition
DESCRIPTION:Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nJoin us for a celebratory evening\, with local artists sharing their works inspired by the power of storytelling.\n\n\n\nThis exhibition will be on display in Nala Bardip Mia – Margaret River HEART foyer gallery from Thursday\, 30 April to Monday\, 25 May 2026 and throughout the Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival (15-17 May). \n\n\n\nWorks were submitted in any artistic medium and artists were encouraged to be brave\, challenge conventions and create works that will stimulate new conversations\, change perspectives and spark joy. Entry was open to artists from the Shire of Augusta Margaret River\, City of Busselton and Shire of Nannup aged over 17. Blending flute\, voice and guitar\, they create a sound that is simple\, expressive\, and deeply connected. \n\n\n\nTheir music draws on a wide range of influences—from jazz and Brazilian choro to well-known classics and unexpected favourites—shaped by years of performing both in Australia and overseas. In a chaotic\, sometimes tragic\, and constantly changing world\, Grace’s preoccupation gives her a sense of order and control.
