DESCRIPTION:Donations Welcome\n\n\n\nSign up to Young@HEART eNewsletter\n\n\n\nMusic\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFair Havens is a vocal trio from south-west WA blending exquisite harmonies with a spirit of warmth and refuge. \n\n\n\nFeaturing Marnie Fulton (Cowaramup)\, Jaylene Lindberg (Augusta) and Andrea Manners (Margaret River)\, their three soaring voices weave a tapestry of sound that moves & uplifts. From a cappella canons to rousing sea shanties\, Celtic folk\, sassy country tunes\, sacred music and pop\, Fair Havens move effortlessly across genres\, taking audiences on a rich and enchanting musical journey.  \n\n\n\nTop three finalists in Margaret River Region’s Got Talent 2025\, they are passionate about inspiring all generations through mentoring in the language of music—sharing the belief that choral singing can bring heaven to earth!  \n\n\n\nAbout Young@HEART\n\n\n\nThe Young@HEART music program is held at Margaret River HEART every Monday morning from 10am to 11am. The program does not run on public holidays or when there is another major event in the foyer. \n\n\n\nThe initiative was developed to safely encourage participation in the arts among older residents (over 60s) during the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.  \n\n\n\nDue to high interest\, the free performances have since been opened to people of all ages. DESCRIPTION:Donations Welcome\n\n\n\nSign up to Young@HEART eNewsletter\n\n\n\nMusic\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are a group of friends who have come together to sing for the joy of it. Our talented guitarists\, ukulele players\, flautist and bass player\, accompany us as we sing.  \n\n\n\nOur repertoire is varied. We sing Blue Grass\, Gospel\, Pop\, Sea Shanties and folk songs. We are especially keen on singing in harmony. We tend to follow a jazzy tradition\, singing our various parts by ear\, as we do not use musical scores. We have been singing together for several years and grown into a strong and cohesive group. We perform for community groups when asked and do not ask for payment.  \n\n\n\nThursday is the day we all look forward to when we come together to practice at the Baptist Hall. Singing is a great way to meet friends\, develop new skills and contribute to the community. SUMMARY:Exhibition Launch: Visual Stories Art Exhibition & Competition
DESCRIPTION:Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nJoin us for a celebratory evening\, with local artists sharing their works inspired by the power of storytelling.\n\n\n\nThis exhibition will be on display in Nala Bardip Mia – Margaret River HEART foyer gallery from Thursday\, 30 April to Monday\, 25 May 2026 and throughout the Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival (15-17 May). \n\n\n\nWorks were submitted in any artistic medium and artists were encouraged to be brave\, challenge conventions and create works that will stimulate new conversations\, change perspectives and spark joy. Entry was open to artists from the Shire of Augusta Margaret River\, City of Busselton and Shire of Nannup aged over 17.
