Raised in a creative household as the daughter of renowned Indian choreographer Daksha Sheth\, she has toured over 25 countries and performed in more than 3000 shows across 25 international festivals. With a background spanning Indian classical dance\, aerial arts\, Kalaripayattu\, and film\, her journey into yoga began as a deeply personal one. After a severe spinal injury threatened her ability to move\, Isha turned to Iyengar Yoga in search of healing. SUMMARY:Head On Portrait Awards
DESCRIPTION:May 29-June 25. Mon-Fri\, 10am-4pm\n\n\n\nThe prestigious Head On Photo Awards celebrates the world’s best in photography\, illuminating the perspectives\, styles\, and forms that break new ground. We want to challenge emerging photographers to bring audiences new ways of seeing the world. Our dual aim is to ensure photographers are valued for their incredible creative contributions and to create a forum where exceptional images can be shared. \n\n\n\nThis is underpinned by Head On’s diverse and experienced curation team\, which actively seeks bold\, daring\, and exciting images. Head On’s blind judging process\, where artists’ names are hidden\, ensures this work is done on an even playing field. \n\n\n\nEvery photo is judged on impact alone\, which reflects our unique curation philosophy. Head On believes that curation must consider both the seen and the unseen. Truly great photographs reveal a truth about our world without sacrificing the imagination. They allow you to dream of what it would be like to be on the ground when a photo was made and give you a fleeting glimpse into the life unfolding around the moment. \n\n\n\nThe Head On Portrait Awards (est. 2004) is a prestigious competition that recognizes the talents of portrait photographers at all career stages. Prizes are awarded to artists who demonstrate a unique visual literacy of portraiture and innovative approaches to the traditional portrait form\, expanding our idea of what a portrait can be. \n\n\n\nPosed or candid\, intimate or public\, dynamic or static\, these portraits explore the future of photography and the depths of the human condition. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented by @headonphotofest \n\n\n\nImages: Chrystal dé Louise\, Livia Peres\, Philip Gostelow\, Sally Griffiths\, Therese Maher\, Yannis Kontos. SUMMARY:Moort (Exhibition)
DESCRIPTION:July 7-31. Mon-Fri\, 10am to 4pmExhibition Launch: Thursday\, July 9\, 6-8pm\n\n\n\nThis exhibition celebrates the beauty\, resilience and significance of Eucalypts. It invites audiences to connect with their ecological importance\, cultural meaning and social presence — trees that sustain habitats\, inspire stories and anchor communities. \n\n\n\nMargaret River is a Biodiversity Hotspot\, with an astonishing 153 endemic Eucalypt species found in our southwest. \n\n\n\n“Moort\,” meaning family\, connection and community in Wadandi language\, reflects the spirit of this exhibition. It also speaks to Eucalyptus utilis — coastal moort — a rare and endangered species unique to our region\, reminding us of both the fragility and importance of what surrounds us. \n\n\n\nFor many rural artists\, creative practice can be a solitary pursuit. This exhibition brings artists together in a shared exploration\, strengthening connections and enriching our collective voice. \n\n\n\nLike a thriving forest\, we are stronger\, more vibrant and more meaningful together than we are alone. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nImage: Daniela Tommasi\, Sunrise at Boranup (detail) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPrint\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email

SUMMARY:Sunday Sundowner Session
DESCRIPTION:Donations Welcome\n\n\n\nSundowners\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Arts Margaret River Sundowners are an annual series of free family concerts that are well loved and well attended. \n\n\n\nThe Sundowners support local musicians and enable Arts Margaret River to give back to our community\, and for the community to be exposed to differing music styles. Importantly\, it enables low income families within the district the opportunity to attend a concert as a family group. Friends and family\, some comprising four generations\, gather with their picnic on the lawn and delight in the location\, ambience and music.  \n\n\n\n\n“I think I enjoy these concerts even more than going to the big Leeuwin Concerts. The Sundowners really are for the community to enjoy.” \nA local resident.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMusician EOIs will open in September 2026. \n\n\n\nVenue\n\n\n\nPioneer Park\, Cowaramup \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPrint\n Print (Opens in new window)\n Print\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email
