Stitch Poetry

A patchwork of poetry in motion with Sari Bennett and special guests

Saturday, August 10 @ 7:30 PM 9:15 PM

1200 6

Sari Bennett performs Stitch Poetry joined on stage with special guests Amy Hastie and Dave Mann.

A cozy midwinters evening of poetry in motion showcasing a selection of Sari”s new and well loved original works. Audiences will be swept into the arms of a colourful world where whimsical imagery is masterfully and unapologetically woven through hard hitting concepts that question human behaviours and challenge the status quo. Stitch Poetry is a celebration of what it means to be human and reflects the kind of magic that can only occur when things fall apart at the seams and are lovingly put back together again as something new.

Sari Bennett is a WA based writer, performance poet and upcyler who lives on Molloy Island. She is a collector of moments and a seeker of the sacred hidden within in the mundane.

With a background in dance, martial arts, acrobatics  and physical theatre, Sari’s embodied spoken word performances breathe life into her heartfelt poetry. Sari has performed at many festivals and events including the Nannup Music Festival, The Denmark Festival of Voice, The Nanga Music Festival, The Wild Village Womens Festival and More.
