Bob Franklin (MC)
Bob Franklin is an award-winning stand-up comic, writer, director and actor.
He has been twice nominated for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Most Outstanding Show Award and has won the MICF Piece of Wood Award, the Sunday Age Best Comedy Show of the Year Award and the Melbourne Fringe Best Comedy Award.
His television and film work includes Bad Eggs, The Librarians, Stupid, Stupid Man, Please Like Me, Jack Irish, Thank God You’re Here and the upcoming Bay Of Fires.
Dane Baptiste
Fresh off the back of his award nominated tour The Chocolate Chip; Dane Baptiste returns with his brand new show. Dane’s a grown man now, so he’s approaching his life in a more mature & sophisticated way.
After the global event that shall not be named, after 2 years of hibernations and being one of British comedy’s foremost voices on race relations, Dane Baptiste is reinventing himself and moving away from the ‘Angry Black Man Comedian’ stigma lazy press has stuck on him for so many years, as in this game, you evolve or you go extinct.
The world has changed and hopefully Dane has been able to evolve as a more considered, mature and mostly funny performing artist. No more pointless social media exchanges, no more debauchery, no more comedy rock star living. No longer going by any of his previous bad boy aliases ‘Dane-ger,’ ‘Joke Dza’, Asap Bap, ‘the social justice warlord’; we will now see a more considered, politically and socially astute Dane becoming who he was meant to in this capitalist, supposedly woke world.
David Quirk
Stand-up comedian and actor David Quirk has cemented his place on our TV screens and as an original voice on the international comedy circuit, with hit live shows in Australia and the UK.
His break-through live show, Shaking Hands With Danger, a storytelling tale about infidelity, took out the coveted peer voted award- The Piece of Wood Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and was nominated for Best Comedy at the Sydney Comedy Festival. The show also ran successful seasons in both London and Edinburgh.
Hannah Camilleri
An alum of the acclaimed Philippe Gaulier clown school in France, Hannah Camilleri is quickly gaining a reputation as one of the best sketch comedy performers in Melbourne. Hannah received a nomination for Best Comedy show in the 2022 Melbourne Fringe Festival for her solo show‘ Lolly Bag’, as well as winning the Comedy New Work award at the same Festival.
Hannah also won the prestigious Pinder Prize at the 2023 Melbourne International Comedy Festival which will see her take her award-winning show to Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year.
Prue Blake
Prue Blake is a strong, confident, underachiever by choice… or she was before she became the 2020/21 RAW Comedy Winner!
An easy-going comic, her style is observational, intelligent and most importantly cheeky, but not too cheeky to show your mum. Prue has been described as both “dashing” and a “disillusioned feminist” by The Age.
