Disco Choreo Workshop
Get ready to dance with pride!
Saturday, June 29 @ 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Get your groove to close out Pride Month with a free two hour (non-rollerskate) Disco choreography workshop.
Pride Month celebrates a long history of strength and resillience within the LGBTQIA+ community and continues to highlight the incredible diversity within our community. Whether you are apart of the rainbow community or an amazing ally, this workshop is for you.
Come learn to strut, dance and slay with a routine created specially for this workshop! It’s going to be all about having fun and learning how to look fab-u-lous while busting out a disco dance routine… if you are an experienced dancer/peformer or just love to move, this workshop is for everyone (12+) so come let your inner disco diva shine bright on the dance floor!
This workshop will be followed by a free Pride Roller Disco and you can register here: https://priderollerdisco2024.eventbrite.com.au/
Margi Pride will be joined by very special guests Lola Blades and Pam Sandwich.
Pam Sandwich
Since beginning drag in 2022, Pamela has gone on to co-produce drag trivia and drag bingo shows with her sister Lola Blades, performed in multiple cabaret lineups and competed in Crown of the Court 2023!
Lola Blades
After her recent debut in 2022, Lola has taken the stage by storm, proving you can look drop dead gorgeous while being downright stupid. After shocking audiences with her fresh talent and crazy mind in Pop Royalty, she recently took out the award for Best New Drag Talent 2023, but she isn’t stopping there, follow this queen to see where she will skate into the future!
Margi Pride
Ash and Elisha will be your co-hosts from Margi Pride for this workshop alongside the lovely Pam and Lola. We are passionate about creating a safe and inclusive space for everybody to shine. Please feel free to reach out to margaretriverpride@gmail.com if you have any questions, concerns or additional requirements with attending!
So come as you are, bring your flair and let’s make magic together as we celebrate community through the power of dance, performance and drag. Tickets are limited so get in quick. We look forward to dancing with you!
Margi Pride acknowledges this workshop will take place on Wadandi boodja (country) and pay our respects to the elders of this land, past, present and emerging leaders. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
